LEH doesn’t play by one set of rules. You’ve got water-front homes with docks in the backyard, wide-open properties out toward the Pines, and everything in between. That variety is great for the town. It makes booking a bounce house rental slightly more complicated than it seems.
Most rental companies assume every yard is the same rectangle of grass. LEH isn’t that simple, so here’s what actually matters before you lock in a date.
Water-Front Properties Need a Real Look at the Layout
If your place backs up to the lagoon, chances are your usable yard space is smaller and oddly shaped, wedged between the house, the dock, and whatever seawall or bulkhead is running the property line. That’s not a dealbreaker. It just means measuring matters more than it would on a standard lot.
Power is where it gets interesting. Newer builds on the water tend to have plenty of outdoor outlets, just not always a lot of room to work with. Older homes usually have more open yard space, but electric access outside can be hit or miss. Either way, it’s a quick conversation with our party planners before delivery day so nobody’s improvising with an extension cord running across the driveway.
Properties Out Toward the Pine Barrens Have the Opposite Problem
Head further out and you’ll find lots with plenty of room to spare, sometimes more than people expect to use. That’s a good problem. It opens the door to bigger units, multiple inflatables, or a full setup with a bounce house, tables and chairs, and maybe a dunk tank without anyone feeling cramped.
The tradeoff is power access. These properties often don’t have outdoor electric anywhere near where you’d want to set up, so depending on the size of the yard and how far the unit needs to go from the house, you’re looking at either a generator or a serious length of extension cord. Worth figuring out before you pick a spot, not after.
Surface Type Is Where LEH Gets Tricky
Grass is the easy answer, and most yards here have plenty of it. Concrete and paver patios work too, several water-front properties have big paved areas that we can anchor to just fine.
Rock is the one that trips people up. A lot of LEH properties have rock instead of lawn, and most of it isn’t the kind we can safely set up on. If your yard is mostly rock, it’s worth a quick chat with our party planners before you get set on a specific unit, just so we can confirm what’s actually workable on your property.
